About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him—and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be—that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
Deeply seductive and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight is a love story with bite.

Overall
Now, while the Twilight films are a far stretch from something to be admired, the books are a great read if you are one to enjoy Vampires, Romance – especially a love triangle and high school drama, then this is something that will be right up your alley. These book series (and films) have a great love/hate relationship with everyone and I think that majority of the hate comes from one of these three categories. 1. Those that have reluctantly seen the films and hated every second of it. 2. Those that have jumped on the bandwagon of hate/mockery. And 3. Those that genuinely did not enjoy any of it, which is fair enough. Hey at least these people tried it out before judging, and not every book is for everyone.
Whichever side of the spectrum you fall on, you can’t deny the success of the books, they have inspired a lot, and I mean a lot of fan fiction. Some coming to a lot more success than others (*Ahem* Fifty Shades of Grey *Ahem*).
